Hello my fellow mammas out there!!

First of all, just to clarify, I’m not a writer and I’m not a doctor, I just want to write and share my experiences with other moms out there. My name is Mercedez and I am a new-ish mommy to a now one year old. (15 months to all those out there that need to be precise) I decided to start this “freedom blog”‘ if you will, when my daughter was 11 weeks old and I was home by myself feeling trapped with a screaming baby because my husband is an nyc firefighter who works 24 hr shifts. I had to put BreatheMamma.com on pause for a little while because of the sudden sickness and death of my father. I love you dad!

Okay back to why i created BreatheMamma.com. It’s alot becoming a mother in a day and something no one can fully prepare you for so that’s why this site was created. So we can vent and share together. Let’s just say that everyone scares you about the birth that by the time you give birth, you are so freaked out and worried about it, that it is all you concentrate on. Why the hell doesn’t anyone prepare you for after you give birth, after all your guests leave and you are home alone with this little stranger?? Yes, it does get a little easier, but let’s call a spade a spade here people…being a parent to a human is tough. Why are woman so scared to be honest to each other? All you hear when you ask other woman how their baby is, omg, she’s amazing, he’s the apple of my eye..blah blah blah. Can we get real please??!! I don’t want to hear that your little one is sleeping through the night or that she smiles all the time or that he is the best baby…I’m calling bs. I want to hear the stories on how you had a delicious spiral pasta with carrots, shrimp and broccoli for dinner that ended up giving you a stomach ache and then because you are breast feeding, your baby had an upset stomach all day crying and screaming until 10pm. I want to hear the stories on how you took your precious princess to the doctors office and because she smiled at you, you leaned over to give her a kiss and she puked right in your face. What about the stories on how you can’t get him in the car seat without a screaming match? Why the hell doesn’t anyone prepare you for these things? Well, I decided to start a blog for all us mothers that just want to vent for real for real. Don’t judge me on my grammar or spelling, because I already told you.. I’m not a writer, I just want, I mean, need to write. Mamma needs to vent boo!
